Third-party monitoring in northern Nigeria

Since 2018, DFID-funded North East Nigeria Transition to Development (NENTAD) programme has provided regional assistance for people affected by crisis including in education, treatment of malnutrition, food, and protection to the populations affected by the ongoing armed conflict in the states of Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa.

Ground Truth Solutions (GTS) is working with IMPACT Initiatives and Girl Effect Nigeria to carry out Third Party Monitoring (TPM) of NENTAD's aid delivery, through an independent assessment among service recipients. GTS is tracking how people affected by crisis are engaging with the services provided. We are carrying out a combination of light-touch beneficiary surveys and qualitative interviews to gather perceptions and will support DFID and their implementing partners in responding to the findings.
